Twinings began in London in 1706, when Thomas Twining bought Tom's Coffee House near the Strand and distinguished it by selling fine tea. By 1717 he had opened the Golden Lyon tea shop. The historic shop at 216 Strand still trades from the same location more than three centuries later.
Among the Twinings products currently available at Pantry are English Tea, Earl Gray Tea and Lady Grey Tea, part of a wider selection of black, green, fruit and herbal teas.
