Authentic green pesto made exclusively from Italian basil from the Italian region of Liguria. Liguria is known for its picturesque Riviera. Our pesto, Pesto Genovese, named after the city of Genoa, comes from this region. Genoa was a city of seafarers. The wives of seafarers who stayed behind stood lookout in the hills around Genoa to meet their loved ones. At the same time, they picked the basil that forms the basis for Pesto Genovese on these hills.
